Mark 12:1–12 – The Parable of the Wicked Vinedressers: A Prophetic Warning to Israel's Religious Leaders

In Mark 12:1–12, Jesus tells a powerful parable about a man who plants a vineyard, sets it up for success, and then leases it to tenant farmers before going on a journey. This vineyard represents Israel, and the owner symbolizes God. The tenants—those responsible for caring for and producing fruit from the vineyard—represent the religious leaders of Israel, including the Pharisees and Sadducees. God had entrusted His people to their spiritual care.

Over time, the owner sends servants to collect the fruit of the vineyard—these servants symbolize the prophets God sent throughout Israel's history to call the people back to righteousness. But instead of honoring them, the tenants beat, shame, and kill these servants—just as many of the prophets were persecuted and even murdered.

Finally, the owner sends his beloved son, thinking they will respect him. This son clearly represents Jesus Christ. But the tenants, filled with greed and wickedness, plot to kill the son in hopes of seizing the inheritance for themselves. In the same way, the religious leaders would conspire to kill Jesus, the Son of God, rejecting the very One sent to save them.

Jesus uses this parable to confront the hypocrisy and murderous intent of the religious elite. He exposes their rebellion against God and prophesies their judgment. The stone the builders rejected, Jesus says, has become the cornerstone—a direct reference to Himself. Though rejected and crucified by the leaders of Israel, Jesus would become the foundation of God's new covenant.

Luke 11:14–23 (Key Verse: v17)

“But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, ‘Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house divided against a house falls.’” (Luke 11:17, NKJV)

If you notice it says "But He knowing their thoughts"

(Hebrews 4:12) says"

'For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. '

1.Because Yeshua is the word He is a discerner of thoughts and intents of the heart ,nothiNg is hidden from His site or from His presence ..THANK YOU TO THE MOST HIGH

Supporting Text: 1 John 4:2–3

“By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist...”

I. Christ Exposes the False Accusation (Luke 11:14–20)

In this passage, Jesus casts out a demon from a mute man, causing amazement. However, some accuse Him of casting out demons by Beelzebub, the prince of demons. Christ responds by revealing the absurdity of this claim: if Satan casts out Satan, his kingdom is divided and will fall.

Doctrine Point: Satan does not work against himself. His kingdom, though evil, is not chaotic in the sense of internal division. Just as Christ's kingdom is one of order and unity, so Satan’s system functions with malicious unity toward a singular goal—opposing God.

II. A Kingdom Divided Cannot Stand (v17–18)

Jesus applies the principle of unity: “A kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation.” He draws a logical conclusion—if He were casting out demons by Satan's power, then Satan would be undermining his own purposes, which contradicts the very nature of his agenda.

Both the kingdom of darkness and the Kingdom of God operate under the principle of unity. However, the Kingdom of God is united in truth, righteousness, and love, while Satan's kingdom is united in deception, sin, and rebellion.
